Five months on the road and counting!

Hello from Indonesia, another country on our list!

It’s hard to believe that we have been travelling for over 5 months. The dream we were once dreaming became the reality we are now living and although not every day on the road is perfect,  I do feel blessed being given this amazing opportunity to travel. Today I’m going to celebrate our journey by sharing with you the numbers and the best moments from the last 5 months. So here we go!

Sydney New Year’s Eve 2013

Boom!

Spending New Year in Sydney was definitely a highlight of our trip to Australia. It felt surreal to be there, watching the world’s greatest firework show, not from a tv but totally live and with a great view.

We had an awesome location by Balmain East… Arriving by 1pm we secured a nice spot and waited there until the fireworks started. Having a beach umbrella saved us from the scorching sun and rain that came down around 4pm.

Am I really going to live the dream?!

Being able to travel around the world was one of the dreams I had when I was a child. I know this will sound soppy but I remember when at home we first got a cable TV. I quickly discovered a new world of not only cartoons, but the world of travel. The Discovery channel became one of my favorite and I still can recall myself watching endless programs about India, Himalayan railway and building of the Great Wall of China. I remember trying to figure out what job could I possibly do to see and experience these amazing and magical places. I think at that time I was about 12 years old.
